Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups glutinous sweet rice
- 1 1/2 cups coconut milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 mango
- 1 tbsp of Lord’s Aloha
- 1 pinch of salt
Directions
1. In a bowl, soak the rice for at least 3 hours.
2. Place a steamer basket over a pot of simmering water. Drain the rice and place it in the steamer. Cook it for 20-25 minutes. Make sure there’s always water in the pot. The rice should be sticky/chewy.
3. In a small saucepan, combine coconut milk, sugar, salt and cook on medium heat until it thickens, approximately 5 minutes. Add Lord’s Aloha sauce and stir well.
Reserve half of the sauce in a bowl.
4. Place the rice in the bowl and mix it with the sauce. Cover the bowl with a towel and let it rest for 8 minutes.
5. Cook the rest of the sauce in the saucepan for 5 more minutes. It should thicken a little more.
6. Peel and slice the mango.
7. In a plate, place the rice, cover with the sauce and garnish with mango slices.
8. Enjoy !
