Michael Lord, Founder of Lord's Hot Sauce


Lord’s Hot Sauce began with one objective: craft sauce that excelled in both flavour and heat using only natural, whole ingredients. Using Canadian white oak barrels to ferment our peppers brings out unique flavour characteristics while ageing them up to 3 years. 

Through “wild fermentation”, a century-old process, our peppers go through a natural change that unleashes a more distinct and complex flavour array resulting in a refined state similar to aged wines and whiskeys. 

Wild fermentation, found in sauerkraut and kimchi, is a process suggested to produce added health benefits such as greater probiotics supporting gut and immune function, to increase nutrient availability and to reduce inflammation.
