SMOKED AND SPICY DEVILED EGGS
Share
Standard deviled eggs are undeniably good, but adding a touch of tomato paste and a generous pinch of Holy Smokes makes them a bit more sophisticated. The flavor is gently sweet, forcefully spicy and perfectly smoky.
Ingredients
For 12 eggs ( 24 deviled halves)
- 12 large eggs
- 1 big garlic clove, minced
- ¼ teaspoon Salt, more to taste
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon of Lord’s Holy Smoke's
- 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar, more to taste
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon hot smoked paprika, more to taste and for garnish
Directions
1. Cook the eggs in boiling water for 10min.
2. Let the eggs cool down in a bowl of water and ice. When cold enough, peel and cut them in half lengthwise.
Remove the yolks carefully.
3. Peel and crush the garlic in a bowl, add salt, then the egg yolks. Mash with a fork. Add mayonnaise, holy smokes, tomato paste, vinegar, smoked paprika and pepper. Keep mashing until you get a smooth texture. Add salt and pepper to your taste.
4. With a piping bag or a spoon, fill in the whites with the mixture.
5. Place on a serving plate and sprinkle smoked paprika on top.
Enjoy!
